MOSTLY GHOSTS (2021)

I’M A GHOST, I HAUNT

I'm gonna do what I want

But I'll treat you kind

If you share your house

And you share your mind

Do you hear that sound

Can't slow me down

I'm a ghost, I haunt

I'm gonna do what I want

Hey hey hey

I feel alright

Because the moon is bright

And it's the afterlife

I'm gonna do what I want

I ain't got no rules

You know I'm coming

When the room gets cool

I can do the shiver

I can do the shake

I'm a ghost, I haunt

I'm gonna do what I want

I'm a ghost, I haunt

I'm gonna do what I want

CAME BACK A SNAKE

Came back,

Came back a snake

I died in the saddle

And woke up and heard a rattle

Saw the diamonds shining in my eyes

I was only twenty five

Hellfire in my veins

They say that I hissed when I died

Came back,

Came back a snake

When I was wearing denim'

And a-sipping on my venom

Never thought that I'd be gone so soon

Then at midnight I died, no one cried

Now you find me cold-blooded

In the sun at noon

RED DRESS

Is anybody gonna hold my hand

Is this my house or the promise land

Tell me can you see what you can't understand

But if you feel it

Will you believe it

One light on in the kitchen tonight

Look to your left, look to your right

I'm nothing but a soul staying out of sight

But if you feel it

Will you believe it

Call the doctor call the press

Tell em  all you saw me in your little red dress

What am I if not your best guess

But if you feel it

Will you believe it

QUEEN ANNE’S LACE

Down at the bottom of the well

Is a pile of bones you knew so well

Now and then you come around

To remember the feeling you found

Run, I'll follow you down

Wherever you go, like an old bloodhound

Sleep, I'll find you in a dream

I'll whisper softly and then I'll scream

This isn't over til I'm buried in the clover

And it's me at the end of the road

I'm every shadow, I'm every breeze that is cold

Try to remember my face

You'll see me in the weeds

You'll see me in the Queen Anne's Lace

JOE HILL

Way back in the year 1915

I was red, as red as I could be

They were looking for someone

Someone to blame

They knew my songs

They knew my name

In every mill and every mine

What they can't kill goes on to organize

Don't listen to their promises

Don't listen to their lies

Copper bosses shot me down

But I never died

In Salt Lake City in a mining town

Still nobody knows why

Two men were shot down

But as soon as they died

They were digging my grave

The judge didn't like

The preacher and the slave

In every mill and every mine

What they can't kill goes on to organize

Don't listen to their promises

Don't listen to their lies

Copper bosses shot me down

But I never died

Way back in the year 1915

I was red

SHARPER THAN THE THORN

Look for me on the riverbanks baby

(Before the sunrise)

Before the sunrise

(Do you remember how I)

Remember how I used to

Put my feet in the water

See me walk before your very eyes

And every time you think about me

You'll be nearing all the things I could be

Look for me in the rose bed baby

(Pull the petals one by one)

Pull the petals one by one

(What is sharper than the thorn)

Remember the words we sang together

Death is sharper than the thorn

Death is sharper than the thorn

FIND MY WAY BACK

I'll find my way back

That's what she said all dressed in black

I'll find my way back

Evelyn told me before she died

She said I don't care where my body resides

I'll find my way back

Bury my body 'neath the willow tree

Lay me to rest in the deep blue sea

But I'd burn all the sunshine

I'd drown all the rain

Before I'd let myself fade

Away, yeah yeah

I will find my way

Back like a train on the track

I will find my way back

I'll find my way back

That's what she said all dressed in black

I'll find my way back

Dig a hole in the meadow

In the cold cold ground

You can say farewell

When they lay me down

But I'd break the bones of pleasure

I'd honeymoon with pain

Before I'd let myself fade

Away, yeah yeah

I will find my way

Back like a train on the track

I will find my way back
